Music Is...Awesome!, Vol. 2, like its predecessor, features songs from the popular Noggin/Nick Jr. kid show of the same name. Hip, retro and endlessly creative, the program revolves around a cast of crazy puppets that go ballistic every time somebody says the words “Yo Gabba Gabba”, and the dancing and mayhem that ensues is led by an actor, musical artist or group. This time around, the guests include Weezer, Hot Hot Heat, Datarock, MGMT, Aquabats, Solange, Jimmy Eat World, Apples in Stereo, the Ting Tings, and Jack Black, resulting in a truly enjoyable collection of tyke music made with parents in mind.
